In pursuit of your true self - a call for action

 
 

I came across this quote recently:

Whatever we do to care for our true self, is in the long run, a gift to the world.

The pursuit of being true to yourself, finding your genius in the process, and sharing that gift with the world is one of the most meaningful things we can do in life.

A wake-up call

Are we living the life we want? Are we pursuing our passions? Are we putting health on top of our priority list? Are we happy? Or are we like so many others living the rat race and being stuck in the patterns of busyness, stress and fear?

For a lot of us, the fact is that we are not caring enough for our true selves and our desires.

Thanks to this weird situation now, you might have had a little awaking and realize that the way you were living your life is not the way you want to be living the rest of your life. Maybe in these crazy times, you realize again what is really important for you, and what you really like and desire from life.

If that’s the case, I invite you to take action on that feeling.

A call for action

Tap into your desires! Think of what you need to do to pursue it. Plan it out. Break it down into small steps. Plan for setbacks so you will not let them stop you. Find someone to support you in this.

All of this so you won’t fall in the trap of trying to change purely on motivation. Changing can be hard. Not preparing enough and not having a plan in place is one of the main reasons we don’t achieve our dreams. After some time, motivation makes place for old patterns and habits and we move back to who we were and to what we know.

But if you don’t want that and want to start taking those small steps that are feeding your true self, then tap into your desires, feel them, prepare and plan, and…

Become a change ninja

Because we are wired to stick to what we know.

Automatisms. Habits. Comfort zone. They determine what we achieve and experience in life.

Changing them is possible! And knowing the techniques for behavior change and habit formation are really helpful to make you successful in the change. If you don’t know these components, you’re not as well equipped as you could be.
